Three routes into the same seven standards

The standards add a student capability lens. They do not replace programme requirements, subject criteria or teacher judgement.

MYP teacher

Make the capability visible through ATL and Design.

Choose one standard that fits an existing unit. Name the matching ATL skill, then use a short design cycle when students need to investigate, make, test or improve something.

ATL gives the skill language.
Design makes iteration visible.
Your subject criteria remain the assessment frame.

DP teacher

Use the standard as a process lens in TOK, EE or an IA.

Choose the capability students need while researching, designing, analysing or communicating. Keep the official task and criteria unchanged.

TOK: knowledge, sources and digital systems.
EE: learner ownership and critical research.
Subject IA: authentic methods, data and communication.

CP teacher

Connect responsible digital practice to the CP core.

Use one standard to sharpen how students research, create or collaborate in the Reflective Project and personal and professional skills.
